THE NEST

I wrote a chapter from the story of an old acacia tree. After he ended his long life, his trunk was split and turned into a bench in the shade of another acacia and the bench collected decades of stories of those who rested on it. I intervened only when he gave in under the burden of these stories and I carefully removed from the old trunk a Dormidont and his Twig still immersed in a sweet sleep.
